One stormy night, young David MacLean sees a flying saucer land in the sand pit behind his family's house. When his father goes to investigate, he comes back cold, distant, and marked with a strange mark on the back of his neck. Soon David's mother and other townspeople change in the same way, and the boy realizes that something is taking over the community one person at a time. No one believes him, not even the police. Only Dr. Pat Blake, the town's kind child psychologist, and the astronomer Dr. Kelston take him seriously. Together they uncover a terrifying plot that leads beneath the sand pit, where a Martian intelligence is preparing an invasion. As the military closes in, David must fight to convince the adults before it is too late. Directed by William Cameron Menzies, this Cold War sci-fi classic is told through a child's eyes and is famous for its dreamlike, nightmarish atmosphere. Starring Jimmy Hunt, Helena Carter, Arthur Franz, and Leif Erickson. 🎭 GENRES Horror • Sci-Fi 🌍 ALSO KNOWN AS (AKA) Original title: Invaders from Mars 🇺🇸 Invation from Mars (alternative spelling) 🇺🇸 The Invaders 🇺🇸🇲🇽🇪🇸🇻🇪 Invasores de Marte 🇵🇹 Invasores de Marte 🇦🇷🇺🇾 Los invasores de Marte 🇧🇷 Os Invasores de Marte 🇪🇸 Els invasors de Mart (Catalan) 🇫🇷🇨🇦 Les Envahisseurs de la planète rouge 🇫🇷 L'invasion vient de Mars 🇧🇪 L'attaque des martiens (French) 🇧🇪 Mars valt aan 🇳🇱 Mars slaat toe 🇩🇪 Invasion vom Mars 🇨🇿 Útočníci z Marsu / Invaze z Marsu 🇸🇰 Invázia z Marsu / Votrelci z Marsu 🇩🇰 Angrebet fra Mars 🇳🇴 Angriperne fra Mars / Overfallsmennene fra Mars 🇸🇪 Anfall från Mars 🇫🇮 Avaruuden pirut / Anfall från Mars / Rymdens djävlar 🇪🇪 Tulnukad Marsilt 🇭🇺 Hódítók a Marsról 🇮🇹 Gli invasori spaziali 🇵🇱 Najeźdźcy z Marsa 🇷🇴 Invadatori din Marte 🇷🇸 Osvajači sa Marsa 🇬🇷 Eisvoleis ap' ton Ari / Εισβολείς απ' τον Άρη 🇷🇺 Захватчики с Марса 🇯🇵 惑星アドベンチャー スペース・モンスター襲来! 🇯🇵 惑星アドベンチャー スペースモンスター襲来! 🇯🇵 火星人の襲来 Would you have believed David—or dismissed what he saw?
