Would you be shocked if I put on something more comfortable? Directed by visionary billionaire Howard Hughes, Hell's Angels (1930) is a monumental pre-Code aviation masterpiece that redefined cinematic action. Two brothers with vastly different moral codes—Roy, an honorable idealist, and Monte, a cynical womanizer—join the British Royal Flying Corps during World War I. Both fall under the spell of Helen (Jean Harlow in her star-making breakout performance), leading to intense romantic rivalry. When both brothers volunteer for a dangerous secret bombing mission over enemy lines, their loyalties and courage are tested to the absolute limit. Featuring breathtaking, real-life aerial dogfights and legendary two-color Technicolor sequences, Hell's Angels remains one of the most expensive and daring spectacles of classic Hollywood. 🎬 DIRECTORS Howard Hughes Edmund Goulding (uncredited) James Whale (uncredited) ✍️ WRITERS Marshall Neilan — story by Joseph Moncure March — story by and dialogue written by Howard Estabrook — adaptation by Harry Behn — adaptation by 🎭 CAST Ben Lyon — Monte Rutledge James Hall — Roy Rutledge Jean Harlow — Helen John Darrow — Karl Armstedt Lucien Prival — Baron Von Kranz Frank Clarke — Lt. von Bruen Roy Wilson — Baldy Maloney Douglas Gilmore — Capt.
