An extraordinary global team of undercover officers take on the almost impossible - infiltrating the darkest corners of the internet to rescue children, bringing hope where none seemed possible. Click here to subscribe to our channel 👉🏽 For US agent Greg Squire and an international network of undercover officers, the mission is clear and unwavering: to penetrate the most hidden corners of the internet and stop those who exploit and harm children. Operating across borders, cultures and political divides, this rare collaboration sees law enforcement agencies from countries including Russia and the United States working side by side. As officers track offenders in digital spaces designed to evade detection, this film reveals not only the scale of the crimes involved, but the resilience, determination and moral clarity of those committed to bringing perpetrators to justice. For over seven years, journalist Sam Piranty was granted rare access to follow their work, observing the extraordinary lengths they will go to hunt down offenders and rescue children. This true crime documentary follows the disappearance of 14-year-old Charlene from her home in Blackpool in 2003, with unprecedented access to Charlene's friends, family, suspects, and police. The information the police received would unveil what was considered to be Britain's first grooming gang scandal. Despite the strength of the evidence, a suspect claimed he was only accused due to racism and a long-running personal vendetta against him by a member of the police force. Feeling let down by the system, the family continued campaigning for their missing daughter. But with Blackpool awash with rumors around Charlene's home life before she went missing, nothing was what it seemed. This documentary was originally published in 2020 as a multi-part series on ‪, and rereleased here for the first time in full. What's it like being in a cult? What's it like being a cult leader? VICE traveled from Siberia's Taiga forest to visit Vissarion, a cult leader who looks like Jesus and claims to be the voice of God, to a commune that looks like a hippie farm on the surface but vibes like a cult obsessed with social media. Larger than perhaps any other cult, we dive into Happy Science, a controversial new religious movement with over 12 million members in 90 countries. Finally, we hop online to wrap our minds around Unicult, an all-online cult filled with millennials studying everything from crystals to aliens. And to quote Creed Bratton: "I've been involved in a number of cults, both as a leader and a follower. You have more fun as a follower, but you make more money as a leader."
