"A Dream for Christmas" is a TV movie which originally aired on television on December 24, 1973. It was originally designed as the pilot for a never-sold TV series titled The Douglas Family. Synopsis: An all-black cast shines in this pilot for a proposed series involving a southern minister who is assigned to a poor parish in California with the congregation drifting away and the church scheduled for demolition. But it's close to Christmas, a time when miracles have been known to happen. The hope here was for writer Earl Hamner to repeat his success with "The Waltons." Plot: An African-American minister, the Rev. Will Douglas (Hari Rhodes), and his large family relocate from their Arkansas home to Los Angeles in the 1950s. Douglas has been hired to lead the congregation of a neighborhood church. But, when the family finally arrives, they discover that the church is in major disrepair and scheduled for demolition. Douglas; his wife, Sarah (Lynn Hamilton) ; Grandma (Beah Richards) ; and the children must come together as various hardships rock their household. Review: Good Family Entertainment! I hadn't heard of this made for TV movie before it aired on the Me TV channel during the holidays. While it's not a classic in its field, it does prove to be a pleasurable watch. It's interesting that the entire cast is made up of African-Americans, and equally interesting that these characters and experiences have been almost totally written to be universal regardless of what your ethnicity might be. And while the central character is a preacher struggling to keep his church alive, the movie wisely doesn't lay on the religion thick - his words and actions are also universal to all viewers regardless of what your religion might be. Get ready to take a journey into the world of lucid dreaming with our latest music video. This first-class experience is designed to make you feel like you're on holiday, riding in a Ferrari and living a life of luxury. The 8-hour track is divided into four unique sections, each with its own set of binaural beats and isochronic tones that will help you achieve a state of deep relaxation and access your subconscious mind. In the first section, we've used frequencies ranging from 3-13Hz (Alpha-Theta range) to help calm your mind and prepare you for sleep. You'll feel as if you're floating and experience stress reduction, relaxed awareness, and the release of serotonin. The second and third sections feature more Theta waves, which are also present in dreaming, sleep, deep meditation, and creative inspiration. As you drift off to sleep, the binaural beats will tap into your subconsciousness and prepare your mind for a lucid dream state. The music in these sections is more steady to ensure that it does not interrupt your sleep. The fourth and final section brings you back to the Alpha range, with a mix of Theta and Delta waves. This is where deep sleep occurs and where you'll experience the dream state. You'll feel a decreased awareness of the physical world, and the section includes the Earth Resonance or Schumann Resonance, which will leave you feeling revitalized upon waking up. A white-trash family must resort to crime to send their teenage son to college. 🎬 Family creates criminal gang to survive! 🎬 Deadly funny Crime Comedy Movie The plot centers on an ordinary American family from the provinces, where life has long since turned into a series of failures and financial problems. The parents dream of only one thing - to give their son a chance for the future, so that he can go to college and escape poverty. But legal methods prove useless: there is a catastrophic shortage of money, there is no work, and creditors increasingly remind them of debts. Desperate, the family decides to step onto the slippery path of crime. At first - small scams, ridiculous robberies and naive attempts to get rich quickly. But each new crime draws them deeper into a dangerous world, where mistakes have to be paid too high a price. The comedy turns into a satire on the American dream: while some build a career and achieve success, others are forced to risk freedom and life for the simplest opportunity to study.
