In Part 1: A historic space launch triggers a solar-storm event that could have cataclysmic repercussions for the planet if it isn’t stopped in time—and time is running out. The world watches in awe as the;Roebling;Clipper is launched into space. Using state-of-the-art scalar engines to fly around the Moon and back in just hours, the maiden voyage of the first-ever trans-lunar passenger ship is about to make history. Among those on board: First Lady Simone Mathany, space-exploration entrepreneur Steve Roebling, Dr. Denise Balaban, pilot Fiona Henslaw, and a very lucky lottery winner. But while en route, a massive solar flare sparks a cosmic-ray burst that accelerates Aurora’s engine and blows the ship away from Earth’s orbit. Now out of control, it’s hurtling straight for the sun. At Mission Control, along with the desperate President Thomas Mathany, an increasingly anxious team of experts puts a plan into motion—an interception by a shuttle attached to the International Space Station. When that ends in disaster, the Aurora only picks up speed. Now being pulled toward the sun at three percent of the speed of light, it’s only a matter of hours before it burns. With that, the scalar engine will trigger cosmic ray bursts, and a giant electromagnetic pulse storm that will blow Earth back into the Stone Age. Now, preparing for the inevitable seems the last—and only—terrifying option. A combination of scientific reality, intense human drama, and state-of-the-art special effects, EXPLODING SUN is a new-wave disaster miniseries of epic proportions. But where does the truth lie? Cursed Films reveals the events that haunted these productions through interviews with experts, witnesses and the cast, directors and producers who lived through the real-life events. Were these films really cursed, as many believe, or just the victims of bad luck and bizarre circumstances?

A 90-minute documentary examining the key players behind President Trump’s expansive use of the U.S. military during his second term. This journalism is made possible by viewers like you. Donate to FRONTLINE now: And support your local PBS station here: When Donald Trump campaigned for his second term, he made a repeated promise: no new wars. Drawing on in-depth interviews with President Trump’s allies and associates, officials from his first administration, and his critics, as well as former diplomats, military experts and journalists, “The War Cabinet” traces how, after vowing to end wars, not start them, Trump assembled a team of loyalists, and together they pursued a much different course. That team includes Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, longtime aide Stephen Miller, Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Vice President JD Vance and outgoing Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. The documentary tells the story of how the cabinet, a group whose members had diverse life stories and worldviews, came together to support the president in his quest to demonstrate the United States’ military might on the international stage. The film traces how Trump has increasingly sought to cement his legacy and achieve U.S. policy objectives through military strength; how the administration has engaged militarily everywhere from Yemen, to the waters off Venezuela, to Iran; and the roles of key players in Trump’s second-term military decisions. With the Iran conflict now in its third month and threatening to define Trump’s second term, “The War Cabinet” is a must-watch documentary on how the president who promised peace has become a wartime president — and the ongoing ramifications. “The War Cabinet” is a FRONTLINE production with Kirk Documentary Group, Ltd. The director is Michael Kirk. The writers are Michael Kirk and Mike Wiser. The producers are Michael Kirk, Mike Wiser, Vanessa Fica, Elliott Choi and Philip Bennett. The reporters are Vanessa Fica and Brooke Nelson Alexander. The managing editor of FRONTLINE is Andrew Metz. The editor-in-chief and executive producer of FRONTLINE is Raney Aronson-Rath. A white-trash family must resort to crime to send their teenage son to college. 🎬 Family creates criminal gang to survive! 🎬 Deadly funny Crime Comedy Movie The plot centers on an ordinary American family from the provinces, where life has long since turned into a series of failures and financial problems. The parents dream of only one thing - to give their son a chance for the future, so that he can go to college and escape poverty. But legal methods prove useless: there is a catastrophic shortage of money, there is no work, and creditors increasingly remind them of debts. Desperate, the family decides to step onto the slippery path of crime. At first - small scams, ridiculous robberies and naive attempts to get rich quickly. But each new crime draws them deeper into a dangerous world, where mistakes have to be paid too high a price. What could compel nearly half a million souls—families clutching meager possessions, dreamers chasing a glimmer of hope, pioneers hungry for opportunity—to abandon everything familiar and risk their lives on a brutal 2,000-mile odyssey into the untamed wilderness? Picture the vast, endless plains stretching like a cracked canvas beneath scorching suns, the roaring rivers that tested every ounce of their resolve, and jagged mountain peaks looming like silent sentinels above them. This was not just a journey; it was a battle against nature itself, a relentless fight for survival where deadly diseases like cholera and dysentery swept through wagon trains like invisible killers, claiming thousands. Treacherous accidents were common—wagons overturned, oxen stumbled, and countless emigrants faced starvation or freezing nights under an unforgiving sky. And lurking always was the shadow of conflict, whether with hostile terrain or tense encounters with Native American tribes defending their homelands. From the early 1840s until 1869, the Oregon Trail was the artery of American westward expansion, pulsing with hope, desperation, and unyielding grit. Over nearly thirty years, an estimated 400,000 people undertook this treacherous path, but the cost was staggering—historians believe that roughly 10% of these brave emigrants never reached their destination. Imagine that: one in ten families shattered, dreams extinguished forever on a dusty road that promised new beginnings but often delivered heartbreak. The human toll goes beyond numbers; it’s etched in the diaries of grieving parents who buried their children by the trail, in the haunting tales of lost lovers and abandoned hopes, and in the silent witness of countless graves scattered across the frontier. Join us on this journey through time, as we uncover the motivations, the tragedies, and the triumphs that defined the Oregon Trail—not just a path across the continent, but a crucible of human endurance, sacrifice, and the unbreakable hope for a new beginning. This is more than history; this is the story of America’s restless heart. My name is Sam and this is Wild America. This video was fully researched, written, and edited by the Wild America team.
