Prison Life: Justice in Japan | Investigate Asia Watch 'Fukushima - The Dirty Truth' here: Prison Life: Justice in Japan We gained unprecedented filming access to two Japanese prisons to find out if accusations that the system is inhumane are true. What we witnessed was staggering. Inmates must march to their worksites attached by a cord; they are not allowed to look the guards in the eye; outside of scheduled leisure hours, they must maintain absolute silence, unless they have obtained prior permission to speak. The treatment of suspects in custody pushes many to confess to crimes which they did not commit, as was the case with one man who spent 46 years on death row. He was finally exonerated six years ago, but was left broken. We try to explain why a country which operates on strict principles of balance and order might choose such a repressive system, and see if this may explain Japan having one of the lowest crime rates in the world. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

From the upcoming new album "Indigo", out November 6, 2026. Pre-order here: "Arcadia" Lyrics: We walk horizon lines behind the battle lines Borrowed roads and forgotten shores And just beyond the blue, a place for me and you Young and dumb enough to believe Tide turned slowly and silently too Time was waiting, was waiting for you For the place that we knew we’d belong Through the night we creep, whilst marble statues weep Chasing kingdoms far away Like pilgrims on the run, its name upon my tongue Lost in the valleys of our minds Walking through temples with visions of love Waiting for grey skies to clear from above But the compass of hearts will prevail Arcadia, still I see you through the rising sun Feel you through the years I have run Arcadia, if there’s a road that lies beyond the dark Where the broken hearts are saved, Arcadia See the towers shine through the veil of morning haze Distant bells that call our names On the crest of mountainsides with shimmering starlight Close enough to taste heaven’s rain Fading with daylight and just beyond our reach Drifting like prayers that were just beyond our speech Still the map of our hearts will prevail Arcadia, still I see you through the rising sun Feel you through the years I have run Arcadia, if there’s a road that lies beyond the dark Where the broken hearts are saved, Arcadia Arcadia “Indigo” Tracklist: The Traveller (Into The Light) Change Of Heart Arcadia Is This The Life?
