Clash of the Titans: Lion vs Apex Predator | MEGA EPISODE | Wildlife Documentary. On the open African savannah there is nowhere to hide, and every animal that lives here has chosen its own weapon against the lion. Across nearly five hours of chained chapters, the African lion, apex predator of the savanna, meets the titans that fight back, from bull giraffes eighteen feet tall to the rival hunters that contest every kill. Through cinematic footage and educational storytelling, the opening follows the tallest titan on Earth. A bull giraffe carries six feet of neck on just seven vertebrae, the same count as a human, and a heart of twenty five pounds to reach a brain eighteen feet up. His skull keeps adding bone for life, so the older the male, the heavier the hammer. In a dry riverbed, an old bull and a young challenger stand side by side to measure each other, and when neither gives way, they fight with the neck itself until one giant goes down in the dust. Then a lion pride closes in among the baobabs of Tanzania while the bulls are distracted, only to lose the chase in the first few seconds as the giraffe runs for the woodland. Zebras hide in stripes that no predator can lock onto, ostriches outrun danger at forty three miles an hour with eyes bigger than their brains, and warthogs back into aardvark burrows so the tusks guard the door. 0:00 One Chance, One Mistake 0:24 The Open Savanna 1:35 The Tallest Animal on Earth 1:58 Seven Vertebrae and a 25 Pound Heart 3:19 A Neck Built as a Hammer 4:38 Necking: Clash of the Giraffe Titans 6:11 One Swing Lands Clean 7:08 The Lion: Apex Predator of the Savanna 8:50 Lions vs Giraffe Among the Baobabs 10:48 The Hunter Can Lose Many Times 11:16 Zebras: Safety in Stripes 12:37 The Ostrich: Speed Over Numbers 14:13 The Warthog: a Fortress Underground 15:22 Every Strategy Has a Price 16:45 Animal Documentary 1:24:00 Wild Animal 2:31:00 Wildlife Documentary 3:38:00 Nature Animal Documentary Epic Moments in This Documentary: Two bull giraffes necking in a dry riverbed until one giant goes down A lion pride closing in among the baobabs while the bulls are distracted A giraffe breaking the chase by running into the woodland A zebra herd dissolving into a blur of stripes as the lions charge An ostrich outrunning danger at forty three miles an hour A warthog backing into its burrow with tusks guarding the door Lions facing rival hunters over their kills in the chained chapters The pride testing the titans of the savanna across the full five hours Behind the drama is a system. Only about one lion hunt in four ends in a meal, so the hunter can afford to lose many times while the hunted can lose only once. Height, numbers, speed or a burrow: every animal on the savanna is an answer to the same predator, and every answer has a price. Even the apex predator pays, in hungry days and empty handed hunts.
